Marc G. Bernatchez
Marc G. Bernatchez is an associate in the firm's real estate and land use practice group, as well as its business, corporate and commercial law group. Mr. Bernatchez has experience assisting in the acquisition, disposition, development, and leasing of commercial properties as well as general transactional work.
Mr. Bernatchez earned his J.D., with honors, from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 2022, being awarded a J.D. Certificate in Tax Law Studies. Further, he received the 2022 Pomp-Shine Award given to the student in the Tax Certificate program with the highest-grade point average in tax coursework as well as the George M. and Stella K. Hyman Scholarship for academic excellence in property law. While in law school, Mr. Bernatchez received the CALI Award for his performance in the UConn Law Tax Clinic, where he represented low-income taxpayers before the IRS and the Connecticut Department of Revenue Services, and CALI Awards in the following courses: real estate transactions, multistate taxation, and evidence. He was also a member of the Connecticut Insurance Law Journal, the Connecticut Moot Court Board, and the Mock Trial Society.
Mr. Bernatchez received his B.A., cum laude, from the University of Delaware in 2019. He received his J.D., with honors, from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 2022 with a Certificate in Tax Law Studies.
