Randy P. Kabakoff
Randy P. Kabakoff is a partner in the firm's real estate and land use practice group, as well as its business, corporate and commercial law group. Mr. Kabakoff frequently represents clients in all aspects of commercial real estate, including the acquisition, financing, construction, leasing and sale of commercial properties. In connection with his real estate practice, Mr. Kabakoff routinely handles environmental issues relating to the use and transfer of commercial properties. In addition to the practice of real estate law, Mr. Kabakoff regularly represents clients in business transactions of many kinds, including the acquisition and sale of privately held business and intra-company disputes.
Memberships
Mr. Kabakoff is a member of the Hartford County, Connecticut and American Bar Associations. He is also a member of the Real Estate Finance Association. He was named to the Super Lawyer "Connecticut Rising Star" list for real estate in 2011-2012.
Experience
Prior to beginning his legal career, Mr. Kabakoff was an assistant project scientist for an international environmental consulting firm for which he was involved in carrying out ecological and human health risk assessments for superfund sites throughout the country. He also regularly supervised the abatement of asbestos containing materials.
Mr. Kabakoff frequently assists the Hartford Area Habitat for Humanity with its legal matters. He is also a trustee of the Hebrew Home & Hospital, Inc. and a member of the Board of Directors of Life Choices, Inc., an assisted living facility in West Hartford.
Education
Mr. Kabakoff earned his B.S. degree in Natural Resource Management and Engineering, magna cum laude, in 1995 and his J.D. degree in 1999, both from the University of Connecticut.
